Passionately interested in fine food, nomadic cultures, minimalism (decreasing commercial dependency). Dorian has spent some forty years preparing this utopian project. At every crossroads in his life, he has sought to open himself up and learn the right ways of doing things to move forward effectively. After an initial career as an artist-photographer in the 1990s, he immersed himself in the Tao of Tai Chi Chuan for about fifteen years.
Drawn more to repurposing objects than to consumerism, and to medicinal plants rather than pharmaceutical chemistry, Dorian delights in making a great pizza from fridge leftovers, gathering elderflower blossoms, chatting with his chickens, and sharing good jam with his neighbors—rather than strolling through shopping malls or discussing politics with people who only like the sound of their own voices. He is curious and knows how to draw people out; at times he is clumsy due to his honesty, and—worse still—often incomprehensible thanks to his British sense of humor.
